Florian is a Hamamatsu double prizewinner

Florian is now a Hamamatsu double prizewinner. Florian has spent the last few weeks  in Japan, and was awarded 4th Prize and the Chamber Music Award at the 9th Hamamatsu International Piano Competition. A total of 449 pianists from over 40 countries entered the competition. The initial pre-selection took place in May and 87 applicants were invited to travel to Japan in November. The competition rounds were held between November 17th and December 7th 2015. After four rounds, Florian was awarded the fourth prize and the Chamber Music Award, for which the jury voted unanimously. Speaking about the Chamber Music Award Florian said,

I was really happy to receive the award. For me it was definitely the most enjoyable time during the entire competition. And I was even happier to receive it for playing a work by Mozart.
